Skins

ng records, going undefeated, and being a hard-working, badass QB.  Can he be the same for the Skins?  Hopefully, we will have a chance to find out.  I like Colt, he has heart, leadership, talent, and an underdog sorta status that I like.  Think Kurt Warner, Drew Brees, I'm not saying he is as good as them, but he has a similar story and could be that guy.  If he is that guy, should we toss him to another team?  Do you remember Trent Green or Brad Johnson?

Right now, the Skins have a horrid O-line, questionable Special Teams, old running game, and a Defense that doesn't even know what it is yet.   No QB can take the punishment JC can, except maybe Aaron Rodgers, or Big Ben.  Although it seems Ben's girls are the ones taking the punishment (Cheap-shot I know, sorry).

e our first pick.

Round 2 - Kyle Wilson - CB/KR Boise State - Kyle fills two gaping holes for the Skins as we need help in the return game as well as the secondary.  This pick could also be Javier Arenas - CB/KR Alabama.

Mark Sanchez going to the Redskins at the 13th pick.  According to rumors, management with the Skins wants Campbell out.  They tried trading the 5th year veteran for draft picks during the whole Jay Cutler shabaz.  They tried trading Campbell for Cutler and failed.  Now, apparently the Washington Redskins want Jason Campbell out of Washington.

The redskins have announced that they came to terms on a deal with free agent middle linebacker Robert Thomas.

Thomas was not re-signed by the Raiders, for whom he played for the last three seasons.  He only played in two games last year for the Raiders who were one of the worst teams in the league.  Want to know why he didn't play much?  Want to know why the Raiders of all teams didn't want him back?  He is a 3rd-stringer at best, and he had a knee injury that kept him out of 14 games last year.  Since when did we start signing Raiders rejects?

p; More draft picks being flushed down the toilet.

Every year its hard to decide who, between the Skins and Cowboys has the most off-season drama.  The cowboys usually have the most dramatic regular season, and the

ant to get the deal done as quickly as possible.  The list of pursuers is mighty long, and the Skins want to get it done before other offers are on the table.  How much would it take to get him?  Most likely Jason Campbell, and a first round pick.  That will hurt us a bit, because we needed that pick for a linebacker, end, or O-lineman.  But, if we look at the bigger picture, we have a franchise quarterback for the first time in decades.

Ah, the preseason, the time of year that aspiring undrafted and late-round rookies hope to make a team.  How often does this happen?  More NOT often than not, undrafted rookies have a smaller chance at making the team than Dan Snyder does at having the economy problem affect him.  Yes I know, Stephon Heyer made the team as an undrafted rookie from Maryland.  He was the only Redskins exception in who knows how many years.  Haha, yea I know I'm a freakin blogger and I should know when right? WRONG!  My job is not to throw numbers out there, its to write what I think, and what I gather talking to the real fan on the streets.

Ok, well here we go again.  Like the pre-Gibbs years, we barely have enough draft picks to satisfy more than one position.  We have 4 total picks, 4!!  If i'm not mistaken there are 7 rounds, and everybody gets 2 in the 7th round.  We have 4, thanks in large part to our "Director" Vinny Cerrato.  We threw a 2nd round pick this year and a 6th rounder next year to miami for Jason Taylor.  Wow, another brilliant move by the freakin skins.  What did he play like 3 games?   Had a career low in sacks, forced fumbles, etc.  Now he has been released because he didn't feel like practicing.  " I'm 100 percent positive he'll play longer than one year"-Vinny Cerrato.  Genius, thanks Vin Dieseldorf.  A 2nd round pick is very valuable, especially a high 2nd rounder.  Lets see who a couple of players were as 2nd rounders.

I'm not surprised at all that Danny Boy went out and spent more on two players in an hour than what the salary cap is supposed to be this year.  Without Joe Gibbs at the helm telling Danny Boy that he can't go out and get every big name there is out there, he went out and got every big name there was out there.  With the exception of Slippery Hands Mcgee (Terrell Owens), we got the biggest names out there.

Anyways, the Skins shot themselves in the foot and possibly cost themselves a chance at the playoffs. If this is the case, changes will have to be made in terms of personnel.

Congratulations! You've stumbled upon my new blog. Since I'm a student and have very little credibility when it comes to sports (just a foaming-at-the-mouth passion), you're just going to have to trust me at first.
