Really for no other reason than to say "I told you so" in the future, I want to express my firmly held belief right now that Jason Campbell is the real deal. He's the second coming of Donovan McNabb, but with more of a competitive fire within (something you can develop playing at Auburn, as opposed to Syracuse). I am fully confident that he will be an elite quarterback for the better part of the next decade, which will keep the Skins in the division and conference race almost every year. Really it's good we have someone to match the suddenly impressive Eli Manning. Nothing Campbell showed in 06 and 07 has led me to think otherwise.
Honestly though I'm not a huge fan of the West Coast offense that Jim Zorn is implementing, and I hardly see it as the ideal fit for Campbell. But hey, hopefully with our newly-acquired, tall, rangy receivers (Kelly and Thomas) good things will happen. Lord knows Campbell had a time squeezing the ball in to Moss and Randle El.
Note: The reason I was previously in favor of Todd Collins starting in 08 was because I saw no harm in Campbell sitting, it's not like he's going anywhere.
