I'm not surprised at all that Danny Boy went out and spent more on two players in an hour than what the salary cap is supposed to be this year. Without Joe Gibbs at the helm telling Danny Boy that he can't go out and get every big name there is out there, he went out and got every big name there was out there. With the exception of Slippery Hands Mcgee (Terrell Owens), we got the biggest names out there.
De'angelo Hall is a great player, could be one of the best in the league. I think we overpaid for him but, he's a local guy who loves this team, and wants to be here. 54 million dollars is a lot of money to give a guy who got cut from Oakland. Thats worse than giving an offensive lineman 30 million who got cut from Buffalo, which we also did. Thank god we didn't give 50 million or whatever to a certain wide receiver who got cut from Dallas. Oakland is supposed to be the wasteland that players go to when they are at the end of their career and want to get paid. I thought we were past the 100 million dollar team of 2000. Remember? Jeff George, Mark Carrier, Bruce Smith, Prime Time Moron, etc. I guess not. Hall has a knack for intercepting the ball, he's a hawk and he flocks towards it. We need that since our other "top" corner couldn't catch a cold in Seattle. Carlos Rogers had more drops than Braylon Edwards (not really, just making a point).
